THE MOBILITY IN ROMANIA WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT “DIFFERENT BUT EQUAL”
12 – 16 May 2025
The mobility to Romania within the Erasmus project “Different but Equal” was a truly enriching and unforgettable experience. During the period, we visited the partner school “Tudor Vladimirescu”, led by the principal Mihaela Chitic, where students, teachers and staff warmly welcomed the project team. Various joint activities were carried out, promoting inclusion, friendship and cultural exchange.
One of the most symbolic and heartfelt moments was the planting of the Friendship Tree brought by our Bulgarian partner as a sign of unity and growing ties between countries and schools.
The program included various cultural and educational visits that allowed for a better understanding of Romanian history and traditions. We visited the Ethnographic Museum, where we discovered Romania’s traditional crafts and way of life, and the stunning Palace of Culture in Iaşi, a symbol of Romanian cultural heritage.
We also visited the University of Iaşi, whose academic atmosphere and rich history inspire both students and teachers. Another memorable visit was to the Mihai Eminescu memorial house.
Another highlight of the mobility was the visit of two local families who run inspiring family businesses. These visits provided a closer insight into the entrepreneurial spirit and traditions of the Romanian people living in the countryside. What made these visits even more special was that the children of both families were students at the local school. This personal connection added depth to the experiences of all participants and contributed to understanding the close-knit nature of the local community, where families, education and traditions are strongly intertwined.
During the whole mobility great experiences were shared with partners from Botoşani – Romania, Skopje – North Macedonia and Canakkale – Turkey. The value of diversity was once again emphasized during the project process, where multiculturalism and diversity coexist, staying true to the spirit of the project – “Different but Equal”
